Great track.

I am in agreement with Repost that the name is off, but that doesn't take anything from the track itself. I feel like it's a song harboring some regretful feelings, about something that went wrong. This song would fit really well into an anime series. I think I could learn something though from listening to this, I noticed the way the change ups just seem to slide together, and for me, that has been difficult, which is my main problem as a beginning producer. You thought outside of the box on this, which is starting to make me wonder if I have been closed off to difficult set ups and sounds, maybe I should take this lesson and apply it to my next track, hopefully, without repetition, thanks for asking me to listen though, I'll try to give the rest of your tracks a listen, and I ask that you do the same for me, have a good day.

JebusAndTheHolyYoses responds:

Thank you for your input!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, this song is the result of me not having time to play with music for 2 months... the resulting build up of creative energy kind of exploded. ^^ Oh and transitions between parts- that has always been difficult for me. I'm surprised this one's transition came out as clean as it did. If you have a track where you need help on transitions, let me know and I'll take a listen. And I'm always down for giving advice on any music in general, so just keep me posted!

Thanks again.

Man.........

I swear, I can see this theme in one of those stick movies, like something with a character that was thought to be dead and he returns to kick all of the asses of those who tried to do away with him. on the note about your friend, I can't do much else other than pray, just keep your head up, and hope for the best.

Evil-Dog responds:

The awesome thing is he showed up! haha

You did well on this....

I think you did a pretty good job on it, but it sound like there's this layer of static on it. I don't know if this was done on purpose or not, but it's distracting, other than that though, it's a nice piece. Keep up the good work.

Great Job

You did a great job on this song, maybe I should start remixing some Sonic Tracks, I've been noticing people do it a lot recently. and I completely forgot that Sonic is turning 20, man, that's a long time to be a beloved Mascot. I really hope that Nintendo and Sega get together and gets us that game they promised 15 years ago.

Great song

Metal isn't usually my thing, but I think this came out really well. I was immediately hooked, there are no words that can discribe how hard you must have worked on this, but I can tell just from the way it sounds, lots of thought went into how each part was arranged, from the bass all the way down to the drums. You did an awesome job.

Hydrocity gots new Swag

I swear, if this wasn't a Sonic Track, it would sound like something that played at a bar back in like the late 50's. Now thinking about it though, some of the tracks for Sonic 3 and also Sonic and Knuckles were made by Michael Jackson, though I don't know which ones. Good job the remix.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Thanks for yet another great review and I'm glad you liked the song!

Michael Jackson wrote some of the tracks from Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles, eh? Fascinating!

I liked it

It's a cool track, nice and smooth starting out, and then getting more rapid and drum heavy, it's nice, and the sound is great. Good Job man.

ChrisisD responds:

Thanks dude! And that for a first try :P Cheers!

Hardcore Doomsday Zone

I would have loved playing the end of S3&K more if this version of the song would have been at the end of it. Maybe you should see if Alvin Earthworm would like to add it to Super Mario Bros. Z as the final battle song for the end of his first season, cause this song is awesome.

You did a great job...

Man, you really did good on this, maybe you should redo the Lava Reef Zone from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the Sky Sanctuary, and the Flying Battery Zone, those were the best songs in that game.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Thank you very much, but I can't take all the credit. :) John Weeks actually sequenced the original MIDI that I rearranged for this remix, but only with his permission did I do so. Thank you very much for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed this track!

Hmmm... you have some good suggestions. Flying Battery won't work well with piano since there are a lot of notes that get held for a long time: something pianos (Real or synthesized) cannot do.

However, I am tinkering with a piano remix of Sky Sanctuary as well as Hydrocity Act 1 from Sonic 3. I'll see if I can do something with Lava Reef Zone.

Again, thank you very much for the review!

So many memories...

You know, this takes me back to the first time I actually played Sonic 1. Dude, I remember it because my older brother put headphones on me and blasted the sound from the Genesis, making my ears hurt, and this was the song playing because I was in that Zone. I ended up getting to the end of the game, but not beating it, my bedtime beat me to beating the game. lol

DrMackFoxx responds:

Wow! Thank you very much for another review! Thanks for checking out this song.

Heh, heh! Those were the days: when cheat codes and the Game Genie, at times, were the only way to beat a lot of games in one play-through.

I'm working on a multitude of different things, but you'll mostly find me on Youtube under the channel name "The Game Idea Guy". I share my video game ideas and thoughts on a regular basis.
